INDIANAPOLIS, IN: Tynan Equipment Company, Indianapolis, has begun delivery of limited-edition pallet jacks in support of Susan G. Komen® Central Indiana and its fight against breast cancer. And these aren’t just any pallet jacks, the hydraulic, personal-use portable jacks that material handlers use to move pallets full of equipment and merchandise.
These are bright pink pallet jacks, and they are creating quite a stir among Tynan Equipment’s many customers in Central Indiana. Tynan Equipment is donating 100% of the net proceeds from the Yale ECO I-55 pallet jacks sold. Each can move up to 5,500 pounds of material but, according to Kirk Whitaker, Tynan Operations Manager, that’s not all that Tynan Equipment is looking to move.
“It’s about moving the needle in the fight against breast cancer,” says Whitaker, who was also the catalyst behind the idea. “We’re moving hearts and minds in creating awareness of all the good things that the Komen Central Indiana is doing in their ongoing research to find a cure. Bottom line: Tynan cares.”
