TYNAN EQUIPMENT COMPANY HISTORY

Tynan Equipment Company was founded in 1960 by Mr. Joseph B. Tynan, father of the current owners, at a small shop on North Harding Street in Indianapolis, Indiana.

In 1979, Tynan Equipment Company moved to their 33,000 square feet building on Indianapolis’ Southwest side on I-465 just north of I-70.  Tynan Equipment Company experienced major expansions through the 1980’s and 1990’s, purchasing Industrial Energy Company in 1989, becoming a full service industrial battery and charger dealer and adding branch locations in Lafayette, Columbus and Terre Haute.  In addition, we are the authorized dealer for Minuteman PowerBoss Line of Cleaning Equipment, Landoll Very Narrow Aisle Vehicles: Bendi and Drexel, Sellick Corporation – All Terrain Lift Trucks and Cushman Vehicles – Personnel and Burden Carriers.

Tynan Equipment Company has been one of Yale’s top dealers for 40 years in market share, rental fleet size, and reputation as a full service dealer.

We are proud to announce that effective November 1st, 2010, Tynan Equipment Company will aquire the assets of IndyLift; a well known and respected Materials Handling Dealership in Central Indiana.

This acquisition builds and strengthens our position as one of the leading Materials Handling Companies in the marketplace and allows us to better service our expanding customer base.

With this acquistion, Tynan Equipment Company has increased our Parts and Service Support Personnel to 54% of our total company so we can continue to provide to you Quality People and Quality Products, along with our Enduring Commitment to support our customers.
